MCISE RG and ECE Department of Kulliyyah of Engineering IIUM organized two programs entitled "Antenna: How Does It Work?" and "Telecom Engineer at a Glance" program from 25-27th September 2022. The program was funded by the IEEE R10 Reaching Local Initiatives Grant 2022 and IEEE Pre-Uni STEM Portal Grant 2022.

Webinar on Additive Manufacturing Electronic System

An interesting talk on Additive Manufacturing electronic system, particularly the 3D printing system, organized by MCISE RG and ECE Department has been held on 17 January 2022 via Google Meet. The presenter was Dr. Mohd Ifwat Mohd Ghazali from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.

MCISE RG Student Won Silver Award in KERICE 2021

One of MCISE RG students, Mr. Ahmad Alhadi bin Ruslan, won the Silver Award in the Kulliyyah of Engineering Research, Innovation, and Commercialization 2021 (KERICE 2021) for his poster, 'Design and Performance Analysis of Flexible Microstrip Antenna with Rubber Substrate'. The event was held at the Kulliyyah of Engineering from 13 to 15 December 2021. Congratulations!

Congratulations on Securing Research Grant!

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farah Nadia Mohd Isa just received two grants last July 2021 for the conduct of project proposals for a joint research project with CIARS titled "Geophysical Software-Defined radar for Landslide Early Warning System" and KTP-RIGS research grant titled "First Expired First Out (FEFO) system storage Management System using RFID TAGS".
 

Meanwhile Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norun Farihah Abdul Malik has been awarded funding from IEEE Region10 Educational Activities for a project proposal entitled "Let's Make Things using 3D Printer." Congratulations to both of them!

We received much good news in July 2021. Assoc Prof. Dr. Farah Nadia Mohd Isa has been appointed as a member of the Academy Sciences Malaysia (ASM) starting from July 2021 till June 2023. Also, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norun Farihah Abd Malek who was an IEEE member has been elevated to Senior Member IEEE (SMIEEE). Congratulations to both of them!

GPS Technology for Environmental Monitoring Talk

An interesting talk on GPS Technology for Environmental Monitoring, organized by MCISE RG and ECE Department has been held on 12 November 2019 at Audi A, E2, Kulliyyah of Engineering. The presenter is Dr. Norsuzlin Mohd Sahar from Space Science Centre (ANGKASA), Institute of Climate Change, National University of Malaysia (UKM).

Visit to UiTM Shah Alam

Venue: Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik, UiTM, Shah Alam

 

MCISE RG visited Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam on 17 July 2019, to perform antenna measurements. The delegates were invited to tour the Antenna Research Centre (ARG) Lab and were introduced to their facilities and RF equipment e.g. anechoic chamber and VNA machine.

An interesting talk on "Harmonizing Engineering Education with Nature", organized by Microwave, Communication & Information Systems Engineering Research Group (MCISE RG), IEEE APS/MTT/ECS and ECE Department has been held on 16 April 2019 at the Main Conference Room, Kulliyyah of Engineering, IIUM. The main aim of the program is to expose the academicians to integrate the engineering education especially in advanced electromagnetic fields with nature by using metaphors. The invited speaker was Associate Professor Dr. Nemai Karmakar, from Monash University, Australia.
